My name is Troy Schneider, and I am asking for your vote at the NCGA Board of Director elections on July 15th, 2026.
My family and I live in eastern Colorado. What began in the 1990s with 80 rented acres and a small cow herd, has grown into a thriving 4,000-acre operation of irrigated corn, alfalfa, soybeans, dryland wheat, corn, and hay millet, along with a cow-calf operation. While we are proud of the farming operation we have built, I believe the greatest thing grown on our farm has not been any crop or livestock: it has been our three sons. We are truly blessed to have all three sons working off the farm but engaged in the operation. I could not serve on the board without their support. For my wife Kristen and I, farming is not just a livelihood—it is a legacy. As a member of the NCGA board, I will strive to ensure that our and all our farming legacies can endure.
NCGA’s power lies in its grassroots strength—uniting farmers’ voices to move the industry forward. I am seeking re-election to the Corn Board to continue uniting our farmers’ voices:
When asked, “Why do you want to continue to be on the NCGA Board of Directors?” It comes down to one key word: SERVICE. I want to continue being a servant-leader to my fellow members and producers. I believe the role of a board member is first and foremost about service: It is my desire to continue my service to our industry and this association with my voice, time and dedication and strive to bring humility, integrity, and empathy to every decision as a member of NCGA’s Corn Board. Drawing upon my experience and knowledge, I aspire to continue moving our industry forward for the betterment of all farmers.
My understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing corn growers today was shaped through my experiences as a servant leader. That experience includes being involved with the state checkoff, Colorado Corn Promotion Council, since 2015 (serving two terms as president), serving as team lead for USGBC’s Middle East Africa & South Asia A-Team, NCGA Market Development A-team and liaison to the Communication & Education and Risk Management A-Teams, as well as the Corn PAC. Some of our greatest accomplishments during this time were reducing Colorado’s refund rate to a record low, restructuring Colorado’s organizational leadership, finalizing our national strategic plan, realigning A-teams and programs to increase effectiveness, and of course passing E-15 through Congress.
I will always be grateful for the numerous opportunities this association and its’ members have afforded me, and I want to ensure our upcoming leaders will have these opportunities as well. It is with this debt of gratitude that I ask for your vote to stay in service to you, the farmers. Thank you for your consideration of my candidacy, and I would appreciate your support for the NCGA Corn Board. In closing, I would like to leave you with a quote from George Washington, “Agriculture is the most heartfelt, most useful, and most noble employment of man.”
