The Colorado Corn Promotion Council is completely producer driven. From our board of directors to our action teams, everything we do is steered by farmers. Corn producers are the backbone of our industry, and we need your help to further our mission. The more you contribute your time and energy to the Colorado Corn Promotion Council, the greater an impact we will have on effecting the positive change our industry needs.
The Colorado Corn Promotion Council (CCPC) is a statewide board that consists of seven member positions from three districts. Members of the CCPC are appointed by the State Commissioner of Agriculture for three-year terms from nominations submitted by corn producers.
Applications are opened on July 1 of each year and are due by August 1 of each year. Terms are for three years, and a producer can serve for two terms.
The Director Application will be available for download between July 1 and August 1.
The purpose of the actions teams is to provide a dedicated group of individuals, both producers and industry partners, to provide direction on the decisions that are made for the investment of check-off dollars. Actions teams meet 3-4 times per year and are a great way for producers to be introduced to what the CCPC does.
Applications for the Action Team are opened on July 1 of each year, and due by October 1 of each year. Applications are reviewed and applications are notified by the beginning of Decembers. Terms are for one year and begin on January 1 of each year.
The CCPC hosts or participates in several in-person events throughout the year, including our Winter Round-Up, Trade Policy Academy (periodical), Field Days at Research Stations and others. We also offer webinars throughout the year.
